VESPRO- Grad collection
“Vespro” in Italian refers to those hours after sunset, when the day is over but the night has not yet set in.
The hour of limbo, prayers and anticipation. Also the hour in which creatures of the night stretch their legs and start to come out. This collection is an ode to “Villains” : scavengers, underdogs, the outsiders we so fear.
My research took me into a deep research of local folklore from areas key to my own cultural heritage(Czech Republic, Italy)and from locations whose history I am fascinated by, particularly New Orleans. The result of this research was a revisitation of key characters of various stories & legends, whose complexity is overlooked by the overly narrated “hero” and their quest. Ultimately it was a collection that wanted to address and celebrate a glamours and decadent rebel, who loves to shake it on a fast smoky jazz.

Libresse Norge & Bodyform UK awarded 5 Designers and asked them to create a garment that would raise awareness and spark the conversation on the normalisation of female genitalia and its various shapes and colours. Key References: O’Keefe, Biker Culture, Nirvana.
